Using the Ask:Enact Application
This page is for authorised testers and partners only. It provides access to the Ask:Enact prototype — a secure housing knowledge assistant that helps frontline professionals give accurate, policy-aligned guidance under the new Ask & Act duties.
How to use the application
- Click Launch ASK:ENACT to open the app.
- You’ll see a simple chat window. Type your question or situation into the text box and press Enter or click Send.
- The assistant will respond with practical, housing-related guidance based on verified Scottish sources.
The three blue dots on the top right is the menu, Use the menu to:
- Start a new session - This will load a new chat screen
- Download a summary of your chat as a Word document - This is pre-formatted template to use as an action plan
- Leave feedback via the form link - All feedback is welcome and we are relying on your participation and constructive criticism
If you close the page, your chat will end. Nothing is saved in the chat unless you explicitly download it. We are capturing the chats in a database so you can refer to the conversation in your feedback and this can be shared on request
Important guidance
- Do not enter personal or identifying information. Use generic examples (e.g. “a tenant” instead of a name).
- Do not copy confidential case details. The tool is for testing and professional learning, not live case management.
- Responses are informational, not legal advice. Always verify actions through your organisation’s housing or safeguarding procedures.
- Report any issues or inaccurate responses using the feedback form.
